> dandy warhols   biographie   ce groupe de portland débute au milieu des années 90 sous l'injonction du songwriter courtney taylor-taylor. s'y joignent la pianiste zia mc cabe, le batteur eric hedford et le guitariste peter holmström. le premier album provoque quelques remous aux states, tandis qu'une tournée emballe des foules mais c'est vraiment avec le second album que le groupe explose internationalement après avoir séduit les collèges américains... se jouant de ses influences, la dernière livraison du groupe au nom le plus cool du milieu est loin des autres artistes californiens. dur de retrouver elliott smith, spain, eels, sparkelhorse ou rufus wainwright dans ce collectif. et pourtant c'est bien la qualité qui regroupe cette scène, les dandys s'en tirent d'ailleurs très bien sur le dernier album comme sur scène, mêlant les genres, les époques. country et kevin ayers, pop et rolling stones, rock et joseph arthur. un groupe dans son temps ?   albums   -dandy's rule ok (1995) -come down...
